Applied palaeontology 1300-OPSTC

Practical systematic review of microfossils based on microscope observation and recognising of representatives of major groups. Observation and recognising of fossil plants.
Prerequisites (description)

Learning outcomes
Student can recognise representatives of groups of microfossils and fossil plants, the most useful in geological research. Student knows basic methods of preparation of macro- and microfossols and some of them can apply in practice. Student knows how to work on the recovered assemblage of fossils, also using proper statistical methods.
Assessment criteria
Acceptable absence: twice.
