Field-course of geological mapping 1300-OKKG2L1
Course is 3 weeks long, in 1 tour (middle of August – September), in SW part of Holy Cross Mts. (Central Poland). It includes practice of geological survey and preparing superficial geology map on its basis. Students work in 2-persons teams, grouped in 8-persons groups, each with its own assistant. Each team makes geological survey – geological map in scale 1:10 000 of ca. 2 km2 area, and several graphical appendixes, according to instruction of the Course. Diverse geology of course area enables acquaintance with geological mapping of basement as well as Quaternary deposits. Geological surveys of individual teams are then collated into collective geological map in scale 1:10 000, covering all course area.

Learning outcomes
After completing of this course student is able to do geological survey and prepare large-scale geological map with appendixes.
Assessment criteria
Course is passed as a grade from team’s geological survey and its defence in the field.
