Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE: After completing the course, the student will have knowledge and understanding of organic chemistry and biochemistry at an advanced level (nomenclature, structure of organic compounds, chemical reactions, reaction mechanisms, methods of preparation, occurrence, and applications); understand the importance of chemical phenomena in processes occurring in living nature; in particular:
- knows the structure, nomenclature, reactivity, and biological significance of natural organic compounds such as amino acids, peptides, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and vitamins.
