6. Nucleic acids: DNA, RNA, construction of the heterocyclic bases (pyrimidine, purine), nucleosides, nucleotides, pairing of the DNA helix, nucleic acids and Inheritance

Upon completion of this course, the student should know the structure, nomenclature, and the biological significance of the reactivity of natural organic compounds such as amino acids, peptides, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and vitamins.
