Alkanes; free-radical substitution; stereochemistry and stereoisomers; alkenes – structure, preparation and reactivity, aromacity; electrophilic substitution; alkyl halides; nucleophilic substitution; alcohols – preparation and reactivity; ethers; carboxylic acids; aldehydes and ketones; amines – preparation and physical properties.
Type of course
Students will acquire basic knowledge encompassing reactivity of organic compounds and relations between structure and reactivity of organic compounds.
Written exam or in case of absence, a retake exam. The exam has the form of open and test questions. Positive mark is assigned when more than 60% answers are correct.
