Bits, bytes, kilobytes, megabytes... How much space would take one second of an uncompressed video?
How big (at least) would be a file containing 1000 words (5 characters each) in ASCII?
The role of the operating system. Filesystems (e.g. FAT). Can we recover a deleted file?
The algorithm, source code and executable. Compatibility.
ASCII, ISO 8859-2, UNICODE, UTF-8. How do we encode characters from different languages.
Formats: ODT, MS Office, PDF. Which and when to use.
Databases, index. How fast can we search and ordered list.

What happens between entering a query in a search engine and the display of results? What is actually searched by Google? The monopoly of the search engine(s).
POP3/IMAP and WebMail: differences, configuration, and usage. Address fields (To, Cc, Bcc), return receipts. Who can read my email? How to protect yourself from spam?
Public Key Cryptography: how are the public and private keys used. Digital signature.
SSL connections and certificates. Is the "closed padlock" a complete warranty of safety?
