The graduate of this specialization:
- has advanced knowledge in the field of operational research, statistical and econometric methods necessary to conduct quantitative analysis of economic, financial, and managerial problems;
- has knowledge of micro and macroeconomic theory needed to model socio-economic processes;
- understands the functioning of the economy, markets, and market institutions with particular emphasis on the broadly understood financial aspects, investing, and accounting in an international perspective;
- knows the capital and insurance market models as well as modern financial instruments and methods of financial instruments valuation;
- has knowledge of risk assessment, application of accounting principles and standards;
- has advanced knowledge of mathematics, including mathematical analysis and linear algebra;
- has knowledge of the protection of intellectual property, copyright, and industrial property law;
- can use micro and macroeconomic theory to model socio-economic processes and present arguments during a scientific debate on these processes;
- can evaluate enterprises and assess the economic and financial situation of economic entities, including those on international markets;
- can use accounting, investment, and insurance knowledge during the implementation of strategic and operational activities in banks, enterprises, including international ones, and in public institutions;
- can use knowledge in the field of operational research, statistical and econometric methods, together with the ability to use advanced information and communication techniques, including analytical software STATA, Excel, Maxima to carry out a quantitative analysis of economic and financial problems;
- can create reports and present effectively the results of independent analyses, also in a foreign language at least at B1 level; can present the principles and limitations of these analyses and discuss them; plans and organizes their own and teamwork, interact with other people as part of teamwork; knows how to identify professional problems in the workplace, and use their competences to solve them;
- can use knowledge of mathematics to carry out a quantitative analysis of economic and financial problems;
- can independently plan and implement their own learning throughout their life;
- is prepared to think and act in an entrepreneurial manner;
- is prepared to follow professional ethical standards; and
- is prepared to participate in the preparation of business projects for financial institutions and entities operating on foreign markets.
