K_W01 – facts, objects and phenomena as well as the theories describing them relevant to book studies, information studies and social communication and media studies, with their subject specificity
K_W02 – methodology of social communication and media sciences, as well as disciplines related to the field of study, to the extent corresponding to their interdisciplinary social and media cooperation and inspiration, with their subject specificity
K_W03 – basic general and specialist terminology in the area of social communication and media sciences, in particular book studies and information studies, as well as disciplines related to the field of study
K_W04 – basic methods of analysis and interpretation of various cultural products appropriate for social communication and media sciences, in particular book studies and information studies, as well as disciplines related to the field of study
K_W05 – rules of operation of library systems, both general and narrowed down to specific areas of research and/or professional activity

Professional skills: the graduate is able to
K_U01 – use the concepts and research methodology of social communication and media sciences (book and information studies) that allow for identification and studying of problems related to the field of study
K_U02 – use the theory and methodology of the disciplines related to the field of study in the implementation of research and professional tasks
K_U03 – use the specialist terminology of social communication and media sciences, in particular book and information sciences as well as the disciplines related to the field of study
K_U04 – use information and communication techniques within the scope appropriate for the field of study
K_U05 – search, analyze and evaluate sources, as well as select and use information acquired from them for their own and other users’ purposes
K_U06 – identify and apply appropriate methods and tools for organizing and representing information
