The subject covers education in the field of language knowledge, with particular emphasis on the role of French language grammar in fulfilling its communicative function.
Course Objectives:
Discourse functions of individual language forms at the sentence and discourse level from a glottodidactic perspective, in terms of teaching/learning a foreign language.
Language teaching methods, with special emphasis on the inductive method and task-based approach.
Linking teaching methods to contemporary theories in the field of foreign language acquisition.
Developing students' language awareness through performing tasks of a mediative nature, using various forms of work.
Utilizing a contrastive approach within integrated glottodidactics.
Topics of the classes:
1. Sentence elements and their functions.
2. Nouns and their determiners: indefinite, definite, and partitive articles. Quantitative expressions.
3. Possessive, demonstrative, interrogative, and indefinite adjectives.
4. Possessive, demonstrative, interrogative, and indefinite pronouns.
5. Cardinal and ordinal numbers.
6. Adjectives: forms, degrees, position in a sentence.
7. Personal pronouns as direct and indirect objects.
8. Adverbial pronouns (en, y) as complements.
9. Simple relative pronouns.
10. Interrogative sentences.
11. Imperative and negative sentences.
12. Prepositions of place.
13. Classification of verbs and conjugation of personal forms.
14. The present tense, the futur simple vs the futur proche, the passé composé vs the imparfait.
15. Adverbs: forms and position in a sentence.

Skills: The graduate can:

independently plan and implement typical projects related to teaching foreign languages in preschool, school, and other educational institutions teaching foreign languages.

diagnose the needs, capabilities, and abilities of each student and design and implement individualized education and training programs.

analyze their own actions and identify areas requiring changes in future activities.

using basic organizational skills, plan and implement tasks related to teaching foreign languages, optionally teaching the subject of social studies.

Assessment criteria
The basis for passing the classes is:
a) Attendance. The student is allowed to have 2 unexcused absences.
b) Active participation in classes
c) Completion of homework assignments
d) Partial tests covering specific sections of the material (minimum 60%)
e) Comprehensive final test covering the entire material (minimum 60%).
Single-day medical exemptions will not be considered as justification for absence during assessments.
