Learning outcomes
In the field of KNOWLEDGE, after completing the course:
EK1. Knows the concept and content of constitutional standards functioning in Poland and other democratic countries;
EK2. Knows the procedure for adopting and amending the constitution, its structure (content and content) and importance in the political system of the Republic of Poland;
EK3. Knows and understands the system of sources of law in the Republic of Poland;
EK4. Knows the basic values and political system of the Republic of Poland;
EK5. Knows the rules for the selection and appointment of supreme organs of state power of the Republic of Poland;
EK6. Knows and understands the constitutional catalog of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, and knows the means to protect rights and freedoms;
EK7. Recognizes the catalog of functions and competences of the supreme organs of state power of the Republic of Poland and regularities in the scope of their mutual relations.
In the field of SKILLS student after completing the course:
EK8. Is able to explain the role and significance of the constitution as a set of basic rights for the state, also in terms of Poland's membership in the European Union;
EK9. Is able to describe the procedure for creating and implementing basic legal acts (international agreement, statute, regulation);
Ek10. Is able to indicate the role and significance of constitutional rights, freedoms and obligations in the context of the values and political system principles of the Republic of Poland;
EK11. Is able to characterize the functions and competences of the main organs of state power in the context of the prevailing system of government.
In the field of SOCIAL COMPETENCE student after completing the course:
EK12. He can use the means to protect constitutional rights and freedoms (e.g. prepare an application to the Ombudsman).
Assessment criteria
The course is conducted in the form of a seminar. Students prepare a presentation for individual classes discussing state authorities, and class participation is rewarded. The final form of verifying students' knowledge is a test on the second to last class.
