A1 (1st semester):
After a course at this level, the student, when speaking slowly and clearly, understands basic expressions relating to himself, his family and his immediate surroundings. Understands familiar vocabulary, names and simple sentences in written text. Is able to read information contained, for example, in advertisements, posters, catalogues. The student can communicate in a simple way provided that the interlocutor is prepared to repeat the statement at a slower pace and helps to formulate what he wants to say. He can ask and answer questions about everyday life, his own needs, topics that are familiar to him. Can use simple phrases and sentences to describe where he lives, where he comes from and people he knows. Can write a short, simple text, e.g. holiday greetings. Can fill out a form with personal data, provide nationality, profession, address, e.g. in a hotel registration form.
A2 (2nd semester):
After a course at this level, the student understands the expressions and most frequently used vocabulary relating to the areas of life closest to him (e.g. basic information about himself and his family, shopping, geography of his region, employment). Can capture the main meaning of a statement contained in short, clear, simple messages and announcements. Can read very short, simple texts. Can find detailed, predictable information in simple, everyday materials, such as announcements, advertising, prospectuses, menus, timetables, and simple private letters. Can communicate in simple and routine situations that require a simple, direct exchange of information on familiar topics. Can cope with simple social situations, even if they cannot understand everything and cannot yet maintain a conversation on their own. Can use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms his family and other people, his living conditions, his education and his current and most recent job. Can make short, simple notes and write down messages regarding matters relating to emergencies. Can write a personal letter, e.g. a thank you letter, an e-mail and a text message.

A1_K3 – knows the basic rules of custom and related verbal and non-verbal reactions in a given cultural and linguistic area
A1_K4 - notices cultural differences and shows tolerance towards the differences of users of a given language
After completing level A2, the student:

A2_U1 - communicates relatively freely on topics related to everyday life and in typical social situations
A2_U2 - identifies messages in selected, simple materials of various types and verbal messages needed to achieve a non-linguistic goal
A2_U3 - understands and uses information contained in selected, simple everyday texts
A2_U4 - presents information in oral and written form, justifying decisions in a simple way
A2_U5 - can find simple source information using various means and methods
KNOWLEDGE
A2_W1 - has general knowledge of the description of the language system
A2_W2 - has knowledge about the culture of a given linguistic area
A2_W3 - knows selected issues regarding the history and geography of the country or region
SOCIAL COMPETENCE
A2_K1 – can cooperate in a group
A2_K2 – knows learning strategies and understands the need for self-education and lifelong learning
A2_K3 – is able to express one's intentions and beliefs, as well as understand the intentions of others, in accordance with the requirements of a given culture
A2_K4 – is sensitive to problems resulting from cultural differences
Assessment criteria
a. Passing the language course consists of the following elements: activity in classes: 25% of the grade results of tests, partial tests, homework: 25% of the grade final test result: 50% of the grade
b. To obtain a positive grade, you must demonstrate achievements in each of the above-mentioned categories (a student who receives 0% in any category will not receive credit).
c. Rating scale
99 – 100% 5! (excellent)
93 – 98% 5 (very good)
87 – 92% 4+ (good plus)
77–86% 4 (good)
71 – 76% 3+ (sufficient plus)
60 – 70% 3 (sufficient)
d. For completing the 60-hour course, i.e. achieving the expected learning outcomes, the student receives 2 ECTS.
e. For completing a 30-hour course, i.e. achieving the expected learning outcomes, the student receives 1 ECTS.
f. In the case of 60-hour language classes, you may miss 6 hours of classes without excuse. In the case of 30-hour language classes, it is permissible to miss four hours of classes without excuse.
