Archaeo-oriental Studies - researcher's toolkit 3600-KM-AO-OG
Archaeo-Oriental Studies combine archaeological, cognitive and textological methods and theories with field research and the use of new technologies. Interdisciplinary research allows for the reconstruction of various aspects of ancient cultures and also contributes to a deeper understanding of mankind within cultural, social and environmental entanglements. The aim of the workshop is to present methods, possibilities and fields of cooperation between archaeologists and orientalists.
During the workshop, students will be introduced to the research methods of ethnography and possibilities of their application in archaeological research, as well as to the implementation of archaeological methods in oriental studies.
The workshop will result in collaborative projects (in teams of 2-3 people) in which a combination of archaeological and oriental methodology will be used.
