Continuation of the previous years’ program. The aim of the course is to provide students with tools to further improve their four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing and communicative abilities. Classes are conducted in Japanese language.
The class consists of three sections. The first division is exercising on grammar issues at the N1 Nihongo Nōryoku Shiken (JLPT) level, kanji and vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, etc. Section two includes reading and speaking practice on texts related to modern Japanese social problems, cultural issues, Japanese politics and diplomacy. Division three emphasizes conversation; materials from Japanese movies, TV series, news, etc. will be used to practice understanding content, vocabulary, expressions, and speaking about the topics of the video materials. Throughout all of these classes, students will strive to master new vocabulary and idioms, improve reading and listening comprehension and speaking skills, and gain knowledge of diverse contemporary Japanese issues.
Term 2024Z:

- has superior skill at formulating own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech both in Polish and in Japanese languages [K_U19]

Assessment criteria
The evaluation will be based on the following requirements:
- attendance in classes ( up to two absences without a sick note)
in case of sick notes - at least 50 per cent of attendance is required
- constant evaluation (preparing for classes and activity)
- Possibility of conducting of short tests and preparation of presentations in the semester (results will be registered as activity during classes)
- Possibility of checking of reading aloud texts given to students in the semester
- written examination (the exam can be conducted before the exam session, at one the last classes of the semester)
- oral examination (as above)
