Arabic Dialect 3600-7-AR3-DJA(L)
The course covers following questions: reading dialogues, descriptive texts, and conversations with special regard to their practical use.
The purpose of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge of practical rules of the Egyptian dialect and teach them how to use these rules in practice.
The knowledge of the basic structures of the Egyptian dialect is also to help the students to learn other Arabic dialects which are essential means of daily communication the Arab world.

Knowledge - a student:
has extensive knowledge of the Arabic language (its/their structure, history, script) K_W12

can translate literary texts and writings from Arabic into Polish K_U14

can fluently use the Arabic script and the necessary tools to learn and analyse it K_U16 (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.)

Assessment criteria
Continuous assessment.
Final oral assessment.
Attendance control - a student can be absent max. two times during the semester; in the case of absence due to illness, the medical certificate excusing this absence should be submitted within seven work days of the last day of the leave specified in the certificate.
