Lecture covering the basic issues of Chinese thought and religion, including:
- Confucianism - the thought of Confucius, Mencius and Xunzi; human relations e, proper governance, shaping of the correct moral attitude, upbringing, morality, the issue of human nature, Heaven, the most important texts of early Confucianism, the importance of ritual, the meaning of tradition
- Taoism - texts of early Taoism, Dao, relationship between man and the universe, "preservation of life", attitude described as "non-action" (wuwei), Taoist conception of an ideal society, discussion with Confucianism
- moism - Heaven as the supreme deity, Heaven's will, undifferentiated love, discussion with Confucianism
- legism - the issue of fa or law / procedures, the basis for the functioning of the state, self-sufficiency of the state, the ruler as a source of law, abandonment of the feudal order
- Book of Changes
- the philosophy of the Han - schools of old and new text, recreating tradition, "man and Heaven interact with each other", yin yang philosophy, the Five Elements, the most important texts and characters
- xuanxue (neotaoism) - the most important texts, characters and issues; "Dao, relationship between" primordial non-being "and individual entities
- Buddhism - basic terms; introduction of Buddhism to China, key figures of the early period of the absorption of Buddhism in China, schools of the Chinese Buddhism
- Taoist religion - various schools, texts and practices, internal alchemy
- neo-Confucianism - the relationship between "principle and phenomena"
- popular religion, the phenomenon of syncretic religious sects

is aware of the importance of Chinese culture in world culture
Assessment criteria
The written test at the end of the academic year. The attendance at the lecture is recommended but not obligatory.
