Sexology - chosen aspects 3402-10SZLZ
The aim of the course is to present students with the basic terms and chosen theoretical and research orientations in the social backgrounds of sexology. Among issues suggested for the discussion there are: psycho physiological backgrounds of the human sexuality, gender constructions and deconstructions in the contemporary social reality, regularities of the development of sexual experiences, undertaking sexual and gender roles, body and nakedness imprinted in the historical timeline of human culture, contemporary sex language and sexual symbols in the media, the notions of sexual norm and deviation (deviation, deflection, perversion, pathology), homosexualism, homophobia, the status of the sexual minority in a society, the phenomena from the grounds of psycho sexual orientations: transvestitism, transsexualism, pornography, prostitution, psycho social backgrounds of the sexual violence towards adults, children and youth. Ethical, social and legal aspects of sexual behaviour are analyzed in the context of the scientific research and sexuological reports.
