Methodology of physical culture 3401-PR1-SP-WR-WMFz
The course is intended to familiarize the student with the basic concepts and terms in the field of physical culture methodology. The student acquires knowledge about various concepts of physical culture and institutional categories of physical culture. The course prepares the student to analyze the processes of physical education and physical culture as well as their functions and structure. Furthermore, the student gets to know the advantages and risks of physical activity. The course prepares for doing analysis and studying the selected rehabilitation projects in the field of physical education, recreation and sport.

After completing the course the student:
Knowledge sphere (K_W10, K_W16)
EK1 - has ordered and interdisciplinary knowledge about forms of activities in the field of physical culture, playing its role in shaping socialization and rehabilitation patterns of individuals
EK - has basic knowledge of procedures for structuring, implementing and evaluating projects from the field of physical culture
Skills sphere (K_U05)
EK1 - in the basic scope, can use knowledge from many disciplines to evaluate the effectiveness and costs of various initiatives and organized strategies, methods and forms of counteracting social threats and problems
Social competences sphere (K_K05, K_K08)
EK1- can independently and collectively determine the priorities of designed preventive and repair programs, provides for the needs of people and communities covered by them
EK2 –can recognize and predict the stigmatizing effects of abnormal psycho- and socio-technical interactions directed to individuals, groups and communities and deliberately avoids them in their professional activity
Assessment criteria
Passing conditions for the course:
- Attendance
- active participation in classes (reading scientific texts, participation in discussions, exercises)
- project outline preparation and implementation
- passing all written tests and written colloquium
The final grade consists of:
- written colloquium - max 50 points
- written tests - max 5 points
- active participation during classes - max 20 points
- project outline preparation - max. 25 points
Scoring system - the maximum number of points you can score is 100
100-95 –grade 5.0; 94-84 - grade 4.5; 83-73 - grade 4.0; 72-62 - grade 3.5; 61-52 - grade 3.0; 51 and below - grade 2.0
Methods of verifying the effects of studying
- EK KNOWLEDGE: written tests, written test
- EK SKILLS AND COMPETENCES: continuous assessment, preparation of the project outline
