Fundamentals of Intellectual Property 3320-POWI-KH
The object of classes is to familiarize students with the basic concepts of intellectual property protection, in particular in the field of copyright and related rights. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with Polish regulations concerning the protection of intellectual property and to discuss the practical functioning of copyright in a collision with a large diversity of situations in the market. In a special way will be considered the need to balance the rights of creators with the need to ensure public access to culture, and also take into account the rights of producers and publishers.

After graduating from student can:
- define and describe basic intellectual property law institutions;
- qualify individual cases in a law context;
- defines basic concepts associated with protection of intellectual property and industrial property law;
- Quotes correctly, inserts footnotes, avoids plagiarism;
- knows basic concepts: creative work, invention, utility model, industrial design, trade mark;
