Pedagogy, integrated workshops (optional, teacher education) 3302-PED2-L
The aim of classes integrated with the implementation of professional practice is to prepare for pedagogical reflection as a result of a critical analysis of educational practice using the acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of the basics of upbringing and various aspects
of the teacher's work (including German) at school. The course will address the following issues: educational philosophy and manifestations of the hidden agenda present in the architecture of the school and the arrangement of classrooms and other rooms; using school documents in everyday educational practice (statute, educational and preventive curriculum, school work plan, internal school evaluation system, program of cooperation with parents); emergency procedures; first aid; the role and duties of the class teacher; creating an educational climate, integration and inclusion of students, animating social and cultural life, supporting students' self-governance and autonomy; styles of leadership and communication with the class and ways of maintaining discipline; ways of organizing educational situations during lessons; the use of various methods and techniques of learning (including German), the use of various teaching aids and organizational forms at work and communicating with students; types of school assessment and motivation to learn; school documentation of students: student book, student achievement sheets, electronic journals, school certificates; getting to know students - observation of their functioning in the classroom, school and analysis of critical events; various methods of solving educational difficulties (cooperation with a psychologist and school pedagogue, educational and vocational counseling center, police, other educational institutions); prevention of learning difficulties and their early detection (especially in learning German), support for students with specific developmental and learning difficulties - dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography and dyscalculia (especially in relation to learning German); constructing individual educational programs; professional development of teachers - identification and development of their own professional needs, individual strategies of coping with difficulties, stress and teacher burnout

Practical placement
The workshops are integrated with a 30-hour psychological and pedagogical practice in a primary school, kindergarten and secondary school.
