Learning of the Russian Language variant “0” I 3202-S1ONRO11o
Lexical topics:
1. Self-presentation, acquaintance, forms of courtesy.
2. Family circle, periods of life.
3. Apartment, homework.
4. Science, school, profession.
5. Family, religious and state holidays. Wishes and congratulations.
Script and spelling – the introduction of Russian alphabet, the function of “iotated” vowels, spelling of unstressed vowels, the vowels following hush sibilants and “ц”, the use of the soft and the hard signs. The spelling of prefixes ending on “з”, “с”. The spelling of capital and small letters. The basic rules of punctuation.
Grammar:
1. Inflective parts of speech (nouns, adjectives, pronouns, numerals), and their declension.
2. Verbs (division into conjugations, present, future and past tenses, imperative and conditional, irregular verbs, participles - recognition).
3. Adverbs.
4. The prepositions, and their division into prepositions of place, direction, time, destination and purpose, cause, concession.
5. Practical analysis of grammatical and spelling similarities and differences between Polish and Russian.

2. The student is ready to take responsibility for his/her own activities related to the improvement of Russian
Assessment criteria
Assessment of the course:
- presence and active participation in classes,
- systematic preparation for the assigned material,
- preparing homeworks and control works on time,
- active participation in preparation for presentations, speeches, projects.
In order to obtain a credit the following criteria are taken into account:
- achieving the assumed learning outcomes covering all relevant aspects - 5,0 (very good grade)
- achieving the assumed learning outcomes covering all relevant aspects with a small number of errors or inaccuracies - 4,5 (good plus)
- achieving the assumed learning outcomes not taking into account some (less important) aspects - 4,0 (good grade)
- achieving the assumed learning outcomes, omitting some important aspects and with significant inaccuracies - 3,5 (satisfactory plus)
- achieving the assumed learning outcomes, omitting important aspects or with serious inaccuracies - 3,0 (satisfactory)
- no achievement of the assumed learning outcomes - 2,0 (unsatisfactory)
The components of assessment:
- continuous assessment (the current preparation for classes and activities) - 30%
- control tests during the semester - 35%
- presentations, speeches, projects – 35%
Criteria for the assessment of written statement:
a/ compliance of the statements with the topic,
b/ compliance of the statement with the required form,
c/ composition,
d/ the length of work,
e/ richness of vocabulary,
f/ linguistic correctness.
Criteria for the assessment of oral statement:
a/ compliance of the statements with the topic,
b/ cohesion and fluency of speech,
c/ richness of vocabulary,
d/ linguistic correctness,
e/ correct pronunciation.
The student has the right to 2 unexcused absences, each subsequent one requires justification. The lecturer decides on the recognition of absence.
Exceeding excused and unexcused absences by 50% of classes may be grounds to fail the course. The conditions for passing the course on the resit exam are the same as on the ordinary of exam.
If it is not possible to conduct classroom classes, classes will be conducted using distance communication tools, most likely Google Classroom and others recommended by the University of Warsaw.
Practical placement
No professional training within the subject.
