Contrastive analysis of specialist texts B 3200-M1-2AKTSBC
The main course objective will be to acquaint students with an important linguistic problem - effective specialist communication, i.e. professional communication in selected disciplines of knowledge. During the classes, students will become familiar with the stylistics of texts of varying degrees of difficulty in Polish and in a foreign language, and will study the texts belonging to individual disciplines. In addition, there will be translation exercises focused more on the structure of a text than on terminology.

Expected student workload: 2 ECTS

As far as the written assignments are concerned, the following criteria are adopted. They depend on correctness and an appropriate style:
• more than 95% – 5!
• 90%-95% - 5
• 85%-89% – 4+
• 80%-84% – 4
• 70%-79% – 3+
• 60%-69% – 3
