History of Music of the 20th and 21st Centuries 3106-HMXXiXXI
The lecture focuses on the most important trends and phenomena in the 20th-century music to the present day, in chronological and systematic order. It outlines characteristic currents, such as the phenomena of modernism, avant-garde, neoclassicism, aspects of postmodernism, individual styles and changes in different stages of composer's output, as well as transformations in approach to tonality.

Acquisition and systematization of knowledge on the 20th-century and recent music; students widen the scope of their knowledge on different historic phenomena and sound manifestations and acquire musicological terminology in this field.
Assessment criteria
