Music Aesthetics 3106-1ES
This introductory course to music aesthetics focuses on the modern era, which is preceded by an overview of the thought on music in earlier times. The aesthetic area of the last half-century, connected with the reflection around new music, is included as well. The lecture part focuses on systematizing phenomena and trends, while the workshop part consists in preparation by the students of selected source texts related to the subject of the lecture. The lecture is based mainly on the "History of musical aesthetics" by Enrico Fubini.
