Learning outcomes
Upon the completion of the course student:
- knows main issues in either linguistic pragmatics or cognitive linguistics, as well as their respective terminologies and sample methods of analysis
- analyses simple examples in accordance with the linguistic theory in question
- appropriately warrants and documents the results of their analysis
Assessment criteria
Final essay of 3-5 pages -- 100% or two to three shorter essays, contributing their percentage to the final score.
