Visualisation of research results (workshops) 2800-AOWVIS-MA2
During the course, we will discuss the methods of proper
visual documentation of artefacts and their presentation in
publications. We will go through the multiple ways of
visualising different types of data collected during
archaeological fieldwork. We will show different methods of
visualisation of qualitative and quantitative data. Students are
taught the basic rules for designing graphics for scientific
purposes. They are trained in using the most common
software option used for graphic design. We discuss the
visualisation of data on maps and their rules in scientific
papers. Students are also taught the basics for using GIS
software in data visualisation. We also discuss big data
visualisation with its obstacles and possibilities.
