Prosody of the informative text 2700-M-WAR-D4PTI
The classes the objective of which is to perfect the technique of reading, taking under consideration, in particular, the technique of reading to a microphone.
The detailed objectives of the classes include:
- using the elements of speech technique (breath, clarity of speech, correct articulation);
- making the participants acquainted with the prosody of the Polish language;
- making the participants acquainted with the elements of prosody;
- perfecting the ability of reading out loud (on the radio and on television);
- developing the ability of speaking to a radio microphone and before a television camera.
Sonic properties of speech (elements of prosody) are an important factor in receiving content in electronic media. They mostly contribute to understanding the message by recipients, which is an important part of professionalism in the profession of journalism.

• knows the melody of a sentence in the Polish language
• knows the means of expression of the Polish language
• knows the elements of the prosody of the Polish language
• knows the structure of a intonation phrase
• knows the kinds of intonation
Abilities – a participant:
• can consciously use the elements of prosody
• applies the correct sentence and logical stress
• correctly divides a text into segments
• uses a varied pace of speech
• uses pauses correctly
• is able to use varied intonation line
• can hear differences in stressing, phrasing, and using pauses
• analyses the elements of prosody in reading (when a text is read by themselves and by others)
• controls the level of voice and changes in voice

• notices differences in speaking styles

Acquiring the awareness of correct speech and the ability to use the Polish language expressively and correctly
1. Knowledge of the rules of artistic speech, with taking under consideration, in particular, media speech.
2. Developing the ability to exercise self-control and the ability to speak expressively.
3. Acquiring the ability to read an informational text and a column, with the application of appropriate phrasing, pausing, intonation and pace, as well as sentence stress.
4. Acquiring the awareness of, and the ability to use a varied pace, intonation, intensity and pitch of the voice while delivering speeches and interpreting fiction texts
