Cultural funds 2700-M-DM-D4FNKL-DOK

The aim of the course is to present the systemic model of cultural institutions in Poland; their main functions and possibilities of financing through Operational Programmes. It is important to present the basic legal regulations of the culture and media sector. As a consequence, gaining practical knowledge allowing the students to later carry out their own professional activity as an animator or producer, preparation for acting on the basis of a business permit of an individual. Thus, it is necessary to know how financial resources are obtained for the implementation of undertakings in culture and film production.

Practically, the individual preparation of a film project or a cultural event will help in this by filling out an application for financing within the framework of an operational programme of the PFI.

Prerequisites (description)

The aim of the course is: 1. to show the system of cultural institutions and the law in force in this area, 2. description of the basic functions of cultural institutions and sources of their financing, 3. introducing students to the role of potential animators and producers of culture and media (including film), 4. indication of possible sources of financing projects in culture and media.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students should have knowledge in the field of: general definitions binding in the field of "culture" and conducting organisational activities, as well as knowledge about the statutory functioning of institutions and programmes financing cultural undertakings and film production in Poland.

Skills - using operational programmes MKDNiS, PISF, Kreatywna Europa, others.
Other competences - knowledge of how and where to look for money for cultural and film projects.
