Methodological Proseminar 2700-M-API-D1PROS
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic issues of information architecture theory and research in information science.
Knowledge gained during the classes will be useful not only in the course of studies but also in professional life. In addition to theoretical issues, the methodological basis of research, and data analysis, students will learn the principles of editing scientific texts, creating bibliographies, and tools for managing bibliographies.
The following topics will be covered in the course:
- Classification of fields and disciplines of science
- Principles of systematic literature review
- Editing a scientific text (IMRaD structure and APA style)
- Stages of the research process
- Selected methods and tools used in quantitative research
- Selected methods and tools used in qualitative research
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Bibliography management
