Knowledge:
Has systematic detailed knowledge in the field of book and information science.
Has knowledge of the relations between book and information science with other branches of learning and disciplines belonging to the field, which pursued studies belong to.
Is conscious of the complex nature of the language (including artificial languages) and its composite structure and historical development.
Has basic knowledge concerning libraries and other institutions of culture and is informed about the current cultural life.
Knows how to independently acquire knowledge and develop research skills in the field of book and information science under the guidance of a scientific tutor.
Is capable of using basic theoretical projections, scientific paradigms and terms appropriate to the field of book studies and library science in typical professional situations.
Is capable of recognizing various types of documents pertinent to the libraries and cultural institutions, performing their analysis and interpretation with the application of typical methods, towards defining their meanings, social impact and placement in the cultural and historical process.
Has the ability to factual demonstration within the field of book and information studies, with application of the views of other authors, and is capable of formulating conclusions.
Is capable of communicating with the use of various channels and technologies, with specialists in book and information studies, in Polish, and in a foreign language.
Skills:
Knows how to prepare typical written works in Polish, and in a foreign language generally accepted as basic for book and information studies, with relation to detailed issues, utilizing basic theoretical projections and various sources.
Knows how to prepare typical oral presentations in Polish, and in a foreign language generally accepted as basic for book and information studies, with relation to detailed issues, utilizing basic theoretical projections and various sources.
Is efficient in spoken and written English in relation to book and information studies.
