Polish and universal History 2700-L-IN-Z1HP
Issues raised during lectures on the history of Poland: the heritage of pre-partition history and its importance for Polish historical consciousness, times of partitions and the path to independence, the Polish issue during World War I and World War II, the battle to defend independence, the most important political and social problems of the Second Polish Republic and the People's Republic of Poland.

# Knowledge
- knowledge of periodization and basic factography about the history of Poland and the universal (especially the history of Europe from the perspective of Germany and the USSR) of the 19th and 20th centuries, their socio-political aspects,
- orientation in terminology related to this issue
# Skills
- independent analysis of historical issues and its contemporary interpretations
- confrontation of academic type knowledge with popular beliefs and stereotypes
- generalization in assessments of the sense and consequences of historical processes and events as well as their deformations in contemporary historical consciousness
- diagnosis of the specificity of periods, sub-periods and events, and the universalization of the conclusions derived therefrom.

- insight in the analysis of historical processes and events
- knowledge of the realities of past eras shaping the belief in the necessity of having historical knowledge and its efficient use by a modern specialist in the field of information and library science.
