1. The specificity of quantitative readership research - the methods used and their limitations, interpretation of indicators and data.
2. Comparative research - an example from the Central European Social Survey and Czech research.
3. Research into reading practices and needs of selected social groups.
4. Non-readers/non-reading.

After completing the course, student:
Knowledge:
- has the deeper understanding of the specificity of the subject, theory and methodology of reading research,
- knows and understands the principles of operation of institutions that carry out reading research,
Skills:
- can use data of the research institutions, interpret them and draw conclusions regarding the publishing market and the activities of cultural institutions,
Social competences:
- knows and understands the problems and challenges related to the development of reading attitudes and behaviors.
Assessment criteria
Total grade consisting of the results obtained on control tests and for completing tasks on the Kampus platform.
The condition for passing the classes is passing the control tests and performing tasks on the Kampus platform.
It is not possible to improve positive ratings.
