The aim of the course is to develop knowledge on culture of Polish language and to acquire practical skills in editing of non-literary texts as well as to familiarize with the principles of Writing for the Web.

KNOWLEDGE:
1. Student knows and understands the methods of language analysis and interpretation that can be applied during non-literary texts editing for diverse groups of target audience.
2. Student knows the issues related to the culture of Polish language, stylistics, Internet language communication.
3. Student knows the principles of big text editing and Writing for the Web.
SKILLS:
1. Student can edit and interpret chosen types of non-literary texts.
2. Student is able to develop her/his skills related to editing of chosen non-literary texts.
3. Student is able to critically analyse published text paying attention to its language correctness and stylistics.
COMPETENCES:
1. Student is aware of her/his editing competences of chosen non-literary texts.
2. Student knows where to search for information that will enable to develop her/his editing skills.
Assessment criteria
Preparation for classes (readings), active participation in discussion as well as task assigned during classes (60%); individual work - two small inter-term projects (40%).
