Lecture
The aim of the lecture is shown in the economic environment of foreign trade operations, and organizational forms of the markets in which transactions take place overseas trade and ways of organizing business in foreign markets. This is done under the following schedule:
I. Theories of international trade (2 h);
II. The contemporary system of international trade - (2 h),
III. Foreign trade - forms of intermediaries. (4 hours);
IV. Settlements in foreign trade (4 h);
V. Financing of foreign trade (export credits, factoring, forfeiting ) (1 h),
VI. The risk of foreign trade and protection methods (1 h);
VII. Contemporary trends in the flows of goods and services ( 2 h)
Classes
Are designed to deepen the knowledge acquired during the lecture and present practical aspects of foreign trade operations and to practice selected under the work carried out by students. They are implemented in accordance with the following program:
I. Foreign Trade - intermediaries. (3 h)
II. Habits and formulas used in foreign trade. (4 h)
III. The documents used in foreign trade. (4 h)
IV. Form of settlement and trade finance techniques. (4 h)
V. Duty, law and customs procedures. (2 h)
VI. Preparation and implementation of export and import transactions . (7 h)
VII. The international arbitrage (1 h)
VIII. Methods of reducing risk in foreign trade. (5 h)

Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student:
a. have a knowledge of:
- The regulatory environment of foreign trade operations
- The political environment and the economic operations of foreign trade,
- Methods of protection against the risks associated with foreign operations ,
- The theory of foreign trade,
- Global economic trends and key business processes,
- Forms of settlement and commercial documents,
- Trade customs (eg Incoterms)
b. recognize and analyze :
- The benefits of forms of action in foreign markets ,
- Risks arising from the choice of forms of mediation
- Risks arising from the choice of market action ,
- Risks arising from the decision of the trade
c. understand :
- The functioning of the markets organized and unorganized
- The consequences of commercial decisions
- Functioning of instruments settlements
- Differences in legislation and the operation of the custom trade
- The rules of conciliation and arbitration,
- The consequences of bidding and contract records
- The objectives and principles of other participants in commercial operations such as the shipper, carrier and forwarder
d. be able to:
- Select the proper form of action in the foreign market ,
- Define the relevant market to make commercial transactions
- Choose the right market action,
- Prepare a negotiating position,
- Make a trade offer, inquiry and order,
- Make a calculation of the offer price,
- Prepare a plan to protect against the risks,
- Select a preferred method of payment,
- Prepare and verify the trade documentation,
- Draw up a contract that reflects his interests,
- To organize cooperation with stakeholders contract - forwarder and carrier,
- Take action to enforce their contractual rights
