Learning outcomes
After completing this course students should be able to:
• Define principles, forms and goals of psychological counseling.
• Explain ethical guidelines in counseling practice.
• Characterize major approaches to counseling based on therapy
models (including theories of symptoms development).
• Explain goals of rehabilitation counseling, psychotherapy, crisis
interventions and prevention.
• Describe basics of counseling tailored to specific settings: individual,
family, couple and group counseling.
