Energy Security 2200-EU022
The objective of this subject is to examine energy security issues, with a particular focus on providing technical insights into the security of electricity and gaseous fuels supply, taking into consideration the specificities of infrastructure operations. Special attention will be given to energy security matters at both the global and national levels.

Knowledge: the graduate knows and understands
K_W07 functioning of electricity, natural gas, renewable and fossil fuels markets;
K_W12 basic technical condition of electricity production, natural gas, renewable energy sources and nuclear energy;
K_W13 current trends in renewable energy sources and new energy generation technologies;
Skills: the graduate is able to
K_U07 explain basic rules of the functioning of electricity, natural gas, renewable and fossil fuels markets;
K_U12 explain and compare political and economic conditions influencing legal measures adopted in energy and climate law;
K_U13 obtain information from literature, databases and other appropriately selected sources, integrate the information obtained, interpret it and draw conclusions and formulate and justify opinions on EU energy and climate law;
K_U18 is able to use English to the extent that allows for independent completion of education and communication with specialists in the same or related specialization, in accordance with the requirements set out for level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
