Municipal economy 2200-8K06a
The lecture will provide knowledge about the concept of municipal economy, the principles of its implementation in various organizational and legal forms, taking into account selected areas of economic activity.
The student is to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of communal management, have the ability to use the conceptual grid appropriate for this topic. He is to learn the normative material and views in the doctrine.
The content of the provisions will be presented, in particular the following issues will be discussed:
- the scope of tasks of communes, poviats and voivodeship self-governments
- conducting business activity by local government units at all levels and by their organizational units (including legal persons).
- municipal management by local government units as part of the cooperation
- the concept of communal property, poviat and voivodeship property,
- regulations of the act on municipal economy, in particular related to the operation of budgetary establishments and commercial companies

Learning outcomes
The student has knowledge of the municipal economy and related legal institutions, is able to independently interpret legal regulations, understands the rules relating to this sphere in the context of the tasks of local government units.
Assessment criteria
The course ends with an exam. The examination is a single-choice test.
The exam grade is 100% of the course grade.
