Knowledge:
the graduate knows and understands the role of man and citizen as constituting diverse socio-professional structures, their status and rights and the principles of their functioning in these structures in the national and European dimension and their impact on the international environment. (K_W03)
Skills:
the graduate is able to observe, interpret, analyze and describe social processes and phenomena, including the relationships between the phenomena and processes of the political-administrative and socio-economic sphere in Europe and within European countries and their impact on the international environment (K_U01)
the graduate is able to use the conceptual grid and nomenclature of institutions and procedures in the European Union. (K_U02)
the graduate is able to forecast social processes and phenomena and their practical effects using standard methods and tools appropriate for social sciences, in particular with regard to socio-political and economic phenomena of the European Union and European countries (K_U04)
the graduate is able to analyze solutions to specific social, political and economic problems and propose effective and ethical ways of solving these problems based on examples of EU interaction in contemporary international relations. (K_U07)

Assessment criteria
The final mark consists of the following components:
Presentation related to one of the discussed topics.
Paper covering one of the hypothetical questions within the proposed student's activity.
The presentation is worth 40% of the final mark
The essay is worth 40% of the final mark
In-class activity - 20%
In case of more than 2 absences the final mark can be decresed.
