Prerequisites (description)
(in Polish) The course is aimed at presenting Polish, Central European and the Balkans contemporary political, social and cultural problems between identity, nationalism and geopolitics. They will be presented and discussed in class along with the analysis of their coverage in selected texts. Interconnectedness between the world of politics, national ideas and identities will also be highlighted as well as reference to the major problems of postmodern world in relation with the region. The course will mostly focus on these issues, however necessary historical context will be provided.
