Models of capitalism in Europe 2105-M-D2MKEU
The lecture is to present the origins and problems of the diversity of contemporary capitalism in European countries and the EU from the perspective of sociological and economic theories. Preconditions for a neo-institutional approach to the market economy, conceptualizations of transformations of capitalism after World War II, the main assumptions and research issues of comparative analysis of economic systems and their characteristics, as well as various concepts of differentiation of capitalism (liberal, continental, Scandinavian, Mediterranean, post-communist) with references will be presented, along with regional and national references.
