Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
Students will gain basic knowledge of the legal, economic and cultural context of entering Asian markets and the opportunities and challenges of working in a business environment.
Skills:
The student knows what regulations and where to expect them in particular countries of the region.
The student is able to use legal regulations, publications and the latest business news to analyze the conditions of establishing and developing a business, as well as making strategic decisions on how to establish a business with foreign capital.
Awareness:
The student is aware of problems faced by foreign investors and possible methods of solving them.
Additional skills:
Knowledge of economic history and current economic situation in Asia
Get to know the main industries and companies in selected Asian countries.
Understand the business environment in selected Asian countries.
Understand how management and intercultural differences affect the way we do business in Asia.
Assessment criteria
Attendance - 2 absences from class allowed without excuse.
Excessive absences must be credited for the on-call duty.
The basis for the assessment is a written credit for the last class.
