Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student:
knows and understands:
- the specificity of the study of international relations as part of the discipline of politics and administration and the place of learning about politics and administration in the social sciences
-terminology, methods, theory, subjective and methodological specificity and main development trends in international relations, especially in terms of political, economic relations and development problems
- in the deepened scope of the dilemmas of contemporary civilization affecting the development of international relations and international cooperation, including knowledge of the causes, mechanisms, dynamics and effects of the process of globalization, both in the economic and security dimension, as well as the processes of operation and change of structures and institutions of political, military, economic and social nature in the international dimension, has knowledge of the theory and practice of political and economic decision-making in structures at the level of the nation state and internationally
He can:
- use theoretical and factual knowledge of international relations and related disciplines for an in-depth analysis of the origins, course and consequences of specific processes and political, economic, cultural, military and legal phenomena in international and national dimensions, especially in the field of national security and development issues; can formulate scientifically valid opinions about them
- formulate and solve research problems using the knowledge gained during studies; use appropriately selected methods, techniques and tools, including ICT, formulate and test hypotheses related to simple research problems in the field of studies
- is able to communicate and debate in depth on issues concerning contemporary international relations, including in a foreign language at B2+ ESOKJ level
- manage the work of a team set up to solve a selected research problem or take a leading role in the team or cooperate with other people within such a team
is ready to:
-critically assess the knowledge and the content of the research activities, and can critically assess its research activities
- understand and recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive problems and consult with experts when it is difficult to solve the problem on your own
