Subject and methodological assumptions of economic geography. The origins and development directions. The content and scope. Objectives and methods of research. Relationship with other sciences. Geographical environment and economic processes - relationships. Development and its concepts. Evolution of the concept of development. The development in the era of globalization, the differentiation of the modern world, global problems - aspects of theoretical and methodological problems of raw materials in the world. Energy and energy security, food problems in the modern world, man and the environment. The problem of ecological migration in the world, International Tourism, Global trade and economic integration in the world today, Characteristics of the economies of selected countries: great powers, emerging economies and Polish economy.

Basic knowledge of the subject.
The graduate knows and understands:
the most important facts, phenomena and problems in the field of international relations (K_W01);
legal, socio-economic and political conditions for the development of international relations and international cooperation (K_W05);
the importance of individual regions of the world to an advanced degree and the contemporary challenges characteristic of them (K_W06).
The graduate is able to:
correctly interpret political, economic and cultural phenomena, on a global scale, in selected regions and subregions of the world, as well as at the national level, using theoretical and empirical knowledge gained during studies, with the use of information and communication techniques (K_U01);
substantively argue, formulate consistent conclusions using the specialized language of international relations science and related disciplines, for the purpose of communication with specialists in the field of discipline, as well as a wider audience (K_U02);
plan and organize individual research work in the field of international relations science and cooperate with other people as part of teamwork on a given problem in the field of international relations (K_U04).
The graduate is ready to:
critical evaluation of the knowledge and content received in the field of study (K_K01);
organizing activities to promote knowledge about challenges in contemporary international relations, including challenges related to global problems (K_K03).
Assessment criteria
Preparing presentations, author of discussing the economy of selected countries, the discussion on the basis of a read literature, regular attendance, preparing individual elements of the lecture topics.
