Development Economics 2104-GPIR-D1DEVE

On completion of the unit students should be able to:
 Understand and apply the main theories and models of economic development, and link them with a real-world cases;
 Understand the role of institutions in the process of economic development;
 Search, access and examine the main sources of economic and social data relevant to economic development.

1. Final test – 50 % of the final grade (50 points, test to be held in-class during the final meeting)
2. E-learning platform tasks (kampus platform) – 40% of the final grade (2 x 20 points);
3. Coursework: active participation in seminars – 10% of the final grade (10 points), 1 absence allowed.

In order to complete the module students need to obtain a passing grade (more than 55% of the points) from all components of the assessment.
