Course Goals
Central to the course of family policy outcomes are the
origins of family policy, the effects of specific family policy
laws, institutional arrangements and their significance on
child and family welfare, work-life balance, women’s and
mothers’ employment, gender equality and the role that
citizens and voluntary organizations play in improving it.
Reconstruction and reforms of goals, roles and tools of the
Polish family policy after 1989: legal, financial and service
change: adjusting policies to rising diversity in marriage,
family and decreasing fertility
Examine family policy historical development, the
contemporary approaches to marriage, family and
alternative unions, the goals and objectives of national and
local family policies, the tools and effectivness of family
policy means.
Present selected comparative data on „family policy mix”
and its impact on demographic and labour market issues in
Poland in international perspective.
