The subject includes knowledge in the field of European integration processes, which means introducing the definition of integration itself and changes in its interpretation in the historical context and the indication of the dynamic nature of its course. During the classes, content related to events on the European continent in the economic, military and political, social and cultural spheres, which led to the unification of the continent, is transmitted. Integration processes are presented in a historical perspective, with the marking of events, from the distant past, to the last integration activities. An important part of the course is an attempt to indicate the perspective of the development of integration in the face of the contemporary political and economic trends.
Issues addressed during the course include the following problems:
1. Conceptualization of the concept of integration
2. Theoretical determinants of integration processes
3. Historical conditions of integration processes in Europe
4. Stages of economic integration
5. Legal integration
6. Political and military integration
7. Perspectives of European integration in the face of contemporary globalist tendencies
During classes, particular attention is paid to showing the dynamics of European integration, stressing the connections between integration areas and the importance of diverse motivation of individual participants in the integration process for its cohesion. Integration processes are presented as treatments of the elites and European societies undertaken to increase the state and sense of security of European nations.

K_W01:
Student, based on the knowledge of historical integration processes, designs future events in the field of integrating the concept of integration referring to its different meanings depending on the historical stage of its development and defines European integration as an effort taken today to strengthen the sense of security of societies.
K_W03
The student explains the process of European integration by indicating the role of the individual and its cultural environment for creating new solutions and proposals in the field of unification initiatives.
K_W04
Student explains integration processes referring to different integration theories, based on norms and rules governing social life and points to the concepts of European integration that are adequate for the historical stage.
K_W05
The student characterizes the most important areas of conflicts in Europe and explains the importance of increasing / reducing the intensity of integration activities for their resolution in the historical and contemporary areas.
K_W06
The student explains and explains the role of various entities involved in the integration process for the progress of integration and is able to point to the mechanisms that improve this process
K_W09
The student can demonstrate the relationship between integration activities and the increase in the scope of integration order in Europe
