Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student has knowledge of various political messages, various concepts and styles of political discourse, as well as the methods of communication, techniques of constructing emotions, and persuasive techniques functioning in the political space. Has the ability to build and analyze a persuasive-self-presentation message and analyze contemporary parliamentary and party rhetoric as well as construct messages, the ability to use techniques for constructing emotions and persuasive techniques. He can analyze and evaluate the content of the media message. He is prepared for public speeches and polemics. Can work in a group taking different roles in it.
Assessment criteria
Group discussions, partial individual work carried out with the use of techniques and methods discussed during classes, individual and team presentations of analyzes and interpretations of messages in terms of styles, argumentation techniques and methods of constructing emotions.
Continuous assessment (current preparation for classes and activity), term paper in the form of an analysis of a selected political speech.
