Knowledge
The student will gain basic knowledge of the theory of information economics from a global and local perspective, i.e.:
- the concept and importance of information in historical and contemporary terms in relation to the social and political area as an economic value (K_W01)
- review of methods of analysis and description of processes and information systems as economic phenomena (K_W02)
- contemporary approaches and policy models in the field of the information market as an element of state economies, functioning in the global economy, including in the aspect of security (K_W06)
Skills
Student is able to:
- analytically determine, classify and find information necessary for further use in decision-making and project planning processes. (K_U01)
- determine the validity (cost) of using appropriate tools necessary to analyze information (quantitative and qualitative data) taking into account available techniques and information technologies with a holistic approach to the environment of the analyzed phenomenon or process (K_U03)
- use the acquired knowledge when creating interdisciplinary projects related to access to acquired information and dividing projects into problem areas and tasks (K_U11)
Competencies
The student should be able to independently:
- recognize and define the impact of the information economy and information itself on aspects of economic and social activity in your professional environment (K_K02)
- use the acquired knowledge in the field of information as an economic value in building a sustainable approach to its use in the information society (K_K03)
- develop your knowledge and skills regarding obtaining and using information as a prosumer (K_K05)
Assessment criteria
Preparing a project for a hypothetical task related to obtaining information, taking into account the analysis of the problem and a proposal for its solution, taking into account costs.
The project is theoretical in nature, but must refer to a problem that is important from the point of view of security.
