The following topics will be discussed in class: data used in urban studies, types of data, sources of secondary data (e.g. the Central Statistical Office's databases), basic information about the methods of collecting primary data (preparation and implementation of surveys), measurement methods and measuring scales, data verification, visualization using basic tools, formulation and testing of hypotheses, basic statistical analyzes using generally available software, types of variables, statistical description, measures of central tendency and dispersion, types of distributions, correlation.
