Basics of Computer Science II 1900-6API2
Objectives of the course:
The aims of laboratory exercises include the introduction of the students to individual use of computer hardware and software during the spatial economy studies and in professional applications.
Course contents:
The lectures cover the presentation of the following topics: operation systems, computer networks, Internet protocols, data bases and introduction into computer graphics. The computer laboratory exercises are practical - they cover ability to use different operation systems in the computer network, using text processors, spreadsheets and data base client software, Internet resources and communication technologies, application of business graphics. Extended part include DBMS (data base management systems) and data base client software. The computer laboratory with the Internet access is equipped with the Windows/Linux OS workstations and the Internet servers. The computer software packages in laboratory include most popular commercial and open source software packages: office suites, data base clients, www browsers, computer graphics software packages and others.
