Environmental basis of spatial economy 1900-5-SPGP
Objectives of the course: skills in basis methods researches of natural environment; distinguishing of natural planning units; identification of specific environmental problems and their impact on socio-economic functioning of region; assessment and optimalisation of usage of natural environment
Course contents: This course allow students to conduct field work near Płock agglomeration. They are focused on following problems:. Application of geomorphological and lithological mapping in territorial planning, land capability classifications and environmental management, i.e. for agriculture, mineral resources exploitation, civil engineering. Human impact assessment and its importance to evolution of morphodynamics processes in selected area. Water resources - water alimentation sources. Water needs in a suburb and rural areas. Włocławek barrage at the Vistula River-function, benefits and risk. Water ecosystems. Field research methods used in meteorology and climatology. Meteorological measurements walks, stationary and on the transect. Methods of climatological analyses of results measurement devices ( statistical and graphic methods). Topoclimatic mapping in local scale and their initial analysis for the need of spatial economy.
