Progression of historical urban planning thought 1900-5-N-RMU
The content of the lecture will deal with contemporary spatial solutions and the ideas known from the past from which they grow. The class will be structured in such a way as to consist of complementary parallel narratives covering:
a) spatial arrangements,
b) city plans,
c) great ideas - theoretical concepts.
There will also be space to discuss the activities of prominent figures - the creators of urban planning thought, whose prominence, will provide the key to defining and understanding the whole narrative.

Prerequisites (description)
The aim of the course is, in a synthetic 30-hour cycle, to provide knowledge on the most important developments in urban planning thought and their references to the present day. Hence, the lecture will extensively analyse the modern period and especially the present day.
